Gary,I hope you have a good belt to hold up your pants. All that steel can add up to a good weight:D.

Well I gone and dun it, that hump along the spine of the blade kept bugging
me so I went and ground it off, gently, but firmly ;) and it was tuff steel to
grind I will tell you!

At first I thought, crap, what have I done, as I all of a sudden missed that hump
go figure! but now I do like the more pointy aspect of the blade.

Thanks guys and yes, it's a tad pointier now, of course, if you attempt this
you want to keep the knife cooled with water often and be very careful not
to try prying with it, as obviously the tip will be a little bit weaker, but then
I don't pry with a slicing tool anyways ;)

Interesting look Gary, and very nice work.

LOL. They'll luv that one in the UK. ;)

Shunsui, I'm sure there is a joke in there I'm missing,
fill in the blanks if you would, I've been to the UK a lot
of times and know they are not a very knife friendly
bunch there. Whch struck me odd as it's the place of
Sheffield Steel and swords and the like, you'd think they'd
love knive :)
