You guys are killing me! I thought, now that I have L and S Insingos, I am set! All the CRK I will need, since I like 'em plain! But these plain slabs with Da blades are soooo pretty. Must. Resist. More. Sebenzas.

After a few weeks with my L and S Insingos I have a few thoughts. I find that for most carry and cutting tasks when I'm in jeans I prefer the large and I love the Insingo blade shape. It's a perfect user.

So it seems that most of the times when I go for the small it's when I'm in dress slacks or if I am going into a more urban area where the sheeple may not like a larger knife. So I'm thinking that in such a case, I might as well carry a "prettier" knife.

I LOVE these plain slabs with Dam blades. I am jonesing for one in the worst way and considering selling the small Insingo to put toward a small plain Ti & Raindrop. Does that seem like a good choice? It's not going to be a "hard" user but it definitely would be carried and used. I don't do shelf queens. How do you feel the Devin Thomas stainless Dam holds up? I know the BF and CPF mottos are buy them all, haha, but if I go for one of these I will probably have to let the small Insigno go. Can't spring a fresh $500 right now.

Well, my friend, I think the insingo is the best blade shape ever. But I love Devin Thomas Damascus CRK's a lot, which overrides the blade shape a bit. I'd say sell the small insingo to buy the small plain ti dam raindrop. You will love it. The DT damascus CRK blades hold up fine. As Alycia from CRK told me, CRK DT Damascus blades can be treated just like the CPM S35vn blades: no special maintenance needed. Just wash and wipe them off if cutting anything acidic like fruits, some woods, etc...

Here's my plain jane Large 21 Spirograph I bought from flyingjon, along with one of tobypra's bead bombs:)

After an obligatory disassembly, cleaning, lubing, and reassembly, it is smooth as glass... and just beautiful.

Its beauty will grow once it gets some miles on it. :)

That is gorgeous; love the Spirograph! I did end up getting a Raindrop, with *almost* plain Ti. Hehe. I am glad to hear that this steel is tough and low maintenance, I put everything to use!

Thanks! It is definitely my preferred pattern of the three available now. I think this one is pretty nice too, considering it's just luck of the draw. :)
