Hello I have a PhotonII I´m very pleasant with it but exits any other brand of this size with more power light (lums) and focus possibility.
Any comparative thread about these kind of lights.
Thanks.

The Photon II is a nice little keychain companion and is very bright. Other comparable ones are the Princeton Tec Pulsar II, CMG O-4, and the Inova Microlight. The Photon II is perhaps one of the brightest in my opinion, but I do like the Inova Microlight as well. If you don't mind a slightly bigger light for your keychain, I suggest an Arc AAA. It's rugged, lightweight, a bit smaller than the Mag Solitaire and well worth it. If you want to read some very informative reviews about the Photon, Inova, CMG, Princeton Tec, Arc and other LED lights, check out The Light Site or The LED Museum

I almost bought an Arc AAA, but it was not as bright as the little ol' Photon III on my keychain. I forget I even have the Photon III with me. Just when I'm saying "Dammit I forgot my flashlight" My wife points out that I have a brignt little light on my keychain. On the highest setting, it really is TOO BRIGHT to read a map with unless you hold it about 2 1/2 feet away!!! Such a cool light. They sell for $11 at most tables at the monthly GUN Show here in Austin. I think I paid $17 over a year ago. a cool light.

A Photon II (blue light) sits in the watch pocket of my Levis, (next to my SOG CrossCut), and I find a use for it almost daily.

The Photons (II and 3) are "almost not there" for keyring carry - so they literally are automatic EDCs.

Whereas the ArcAAA - cute and well made as it is - is just a bit too big for keyring carry (for me), although I do know there are lots of people who do that.

Great observation about the White Photon 3 (on highest brightness) being too bright for comfortable map reading.

That's why I use a yellow Photon on my keyring as my EDC - as that doesn't glare as much as white - so it disturbs my dark adaption less - I seem to see well with yellow in some cases contrast and definition seems ehanced - although there is loss of good color rendition - the yellow (along with orange and red) Photons are advertized at 120 hours battery life (compared to all other colors' 10-12 hours).

However because I miss a white light occassionally I've taken to carrying a CMG Ultra-G single AA cell, white LED flashlight in my other pocket - as a non-keyring but in-pocket carry it is almost ideal sized at 3.25" long and 3/4" diameter - since most of us here are certified/certifiable pocket-knife carrying members - I think most will understand this.........
