A special blade calls for special pimpin attention.

You guys ever see polished micarta?

It looks very cool, like a wet polished rock on the beach, and you can see all the canvas detail. I have never done it but have thought about it a lot and just tonight found a supplier to order what I will need to do the job.I will use a product called Micromesh, which is approved by Boeing and McDonnell Douglas, to polish the acrylic windscreens on their aircraft.I got the idea this summer from one of the F-15 maintenance crew members when I saw him polishing the windscreens. I figure if it's acrylic based, which micarta is, and it's good enough for them than why not a Horton, plus, it will be a great conversation point with the pilots that know about Horton.

AFAIK, standard micarta uses a phenolic binder, and G10 and carbon use epoxy. I was not aware of a performance composite that's made with acrylic.

Doesn't mean that the Micromesh wont still work, of course...

That vid would be on liveleek if it the machete had platinum edge.

Here's an idea - Jeremy should make a machete. :p

I've been telling him...14" blade, made from 1/8" S7. siguy over on the W&SS forum has done a few. 'Borrow' the profile from the KSF Barkie machete.

OTOH, maybe I can't afford a custom machete by Jeremy.:D

Isn't that what I said? ....or,if not, it's what I meant.
