(Photos) An ultra-dumbass move; breaking my brand new Heavy Bowie

Man, Caine has a goooood point there. That would make a great mod, fix the problem, and give you something to work on when you do get some fun time. I wouldn't do anything to change the HT on it, just grind it, keep it cool, and make that bad boy one of the toughest drop/spear points out there.

Might wind up a bushcrafter yet. :D

that seems like a HT problem, but what do i know?

i'd have expected it to bend first, ya know?

but you live, you learn.

Thats what I would think as well, but what do I know, I'm new here :p.

Any news on the mods to this beast BRL?

this is way down on the list. frankenbecker and a new handle for my warthog come first. I may not ever get to the HB.

Bladite, this carries a lot of weight coming from you, actually. Guyon suggested that KA-BAR might be able to tell if there was indeed a problem with the knife and would shoot straight; either answer would be very educational.

My condolences. I think it's an opportunity. I say spearpoint! Nice use of Avogadro's number. So would that be one mol of cuss words?

knives are not warranted for use in phoenix :)

i dunno. i've stabbed stuff into wood, and pried. nothing broke. nothing bent. a knife should flex SOME at least. snapping? aiyah! still, if you're feeling brave, try it again with what you got left. see what happens. file tests and such might be interesting.

Yes you can mod it & make it a one of. Look at the glass half full my friend. Show us the finished product.
