Photos of a Visiter we had today, must have been the INFI.

ankerson, those are cool a good ole north state hawk, that is awesome, excellent job on the pics!!!!

Birds of prey are always cool. We had several always hunting ducks at the pond out our front window. Nothing like watching one snatch a juvenile duck. I have also been really close to my fair share of Bald Eagles as well. Never had my camera handy to take a pic.

Looked it up, I think it is a Red Shoulder. :)

Without double checking, I think it is a red-shouldered hawk, too. They are a little stumpy and round compared to the coopers, which are a little larger and proportionately longer. Nice pics.

Sweet pics! Thanks for sharing.

Looks like a red-shouldered.

We have a sharp-shined or two that prey on the birds at our feeders in winter. Hawks are awesome. Especially the INFI-loving ones.

Ank--- Would you like to take some pix of a Timber Rattlesnake den behind my house? :)

Could be a juvenile cooper's hawk, has a lot of white on the wings though.

This is what an incredibly surprised adult Cooper's Hawk looks like.

I saw she was on one of my chickens next to the house.

So I picked her up and took a few trophy photos and let her go.

I left most of the carcass out there, but she killed my Black Cochin male the next day. We haven't reached an understanding yet.
