TOOK MY SON BLADE(AGE 12) FOR A 8 MILE HIKE/KNIFE TESTING TRIP
I HAVE HIM UNTIL JULY 20TH--THEN HE GOES BACK TO TENNESSEE :(

HE TESTED HIS NEW LINDER MACHETE AND FALLKNIVEN S1

I TESTED THE NEW(TO ME) SIEGLE I GOT(USED) AFTER READING THIS

http://www.gregdavenport.com/gearreview_details.php?article=gear_greenutilityknife

I ALSO BROUGHT ALONG MY FALLKNIVEN F1 FOR MY SON BLADE TO HAVE ANOTHER KNIFE TO COMPARE HIS S1 TO.

HE ACTUALLY LIKED THE SMALLER F1 BETTER...

WE SANDED DOWN THE HANDLE ON THE LINDER MACHETE AS WELL AS THE FALLKNIVENS---MUCH BETTER!!!!

AS FAR AS THE FALLKNIVES--BOTH ARE VERY GOOD KNIVES.I LIKE THE S1 BETTER--SON LIKES THE F1 BETTER.

THE LINDER IS MUCH BETTER AFTER SANDING THE CORNERS ON THE HANDLE DOWN...

THE SIEGLE IS BAD ASS---GREAT COMFORT AND OUTSTANDING CUTTING ABILITY

ENJOY THE PHOTOS
Sincerely

Dr.Bill

looks like a nice trip, shame about having to send him back up so soon, but its more excuse to make the most of it while you two are together...

heh maybe you should trade knives if you like eachother's more...

i like that linder machete...how long is the blade? looks to be less than 12 inches but i can't really tell. also, thickness?

Great pics man, looks like you guys had a good time in some real pretty country!

I've been to Inks Lake several times and on that same rock! That is my favorite spot to camp. Did you go to Enchanted Rock?

Looks great!

I'm glad you got to enjoy the day with your son and treasure every moment!

My son is 3 1/2 and I can't wait to take him out just like that.

Thanks for sharing!

Great pictures as usual! We've gone to Enchanted Rock several times for bouldering and drive right by Inks Lake...we're planning to swing by and hike through for a day. We'll have to link up...I have an F1 rehandled with Micarta by Lone Rider Custom Grips. Greg is currently working on my S1, putting a slightly beefier Micarta grip on it as well.

Looks like you guys had a blast...I'm getting a few days off early next week, so we're heading to Colorado Bend and possibly to Enchanted Rock for some climbing.

ROCK6

Any time spent with kids is great! Add knives to the mix and you're approaching nirvanna!

Having a few of your knives along---makes it even sweeter...:D

Even my 12 year old son can feel the difference between yours and factory models
