These are one of the rarest daggers of the Third Reich. Their exact affiliation is not known but they have something to do with the Luftwaffe and Goering. I know two versions, the first is the survival knives of the Luftwaffe pilots. The second is the daggers of some divisions of the rangers of the Luftwaffe forest reserves. In 1934 all the administrations of the German forestries previously under the control of the lands were merged into a single Reichsforstamt forestry service and placed under the control of Hermann Göring, who was appointed on July 3, 1934 to the specially established position of the “German Imperial Forester” (Reichs Forstmeister, German Reichsforstmeister). In addition, Goering also became the "Reichs-Jägermeister of Germany" (Reichs-Jägermeister, German Reichsjägermeister) and later also the "High Commissioner for Nature Conservation" ("Oberster Beauftragte für den Naturschutz"). In all these posts, Goering exercised control over the entire forestry and hunting economy in Germany.
