Sadly it’s true!

My last “vacation” was in 2014 when I went back to Colorado for a funeral and I ended up spending most of the time doing a tile backsplash at my uncles house that my dad conned me into doing.
Nothing like using a wet saw in 18 degree weather.

No, I just pulled this one down to admire it and decide if I can let it go. Can’t do it!

I should add, It's Osage. That wood ages beautifully so it's not like, I don't know static? When you look at it after a while without seeing it, there are all new kinds of changes to look for and admire.

I prefer a little contrast in it, but like it aged better. Chatoyance above all.
