I don't know about slim scales. How do you tell? It is the D3v steel. Only used it to slice up some hard boiled eggs and avocado. And a quick feather stick. Edge is awesome. It's an amazing blade. Definitely large and heavy but awesome.

You know what, I don’t know a for certain way to tell them apart without measuring them. I’ve never had a set.

Can't put this bad boy down. Just a all around beast. I tried to work it into my duty belt but the LT frowned upon it and it was taking up more real estate than my cqb tool lol. Guess it can ride In the door today in case someone needs extraction

It's a light strike, but it's there. It's Elmax, just like the other two.
