Photos! Post your CPK photos here!

Ah ok.

The Shiv is an amazing piece of work. The way the blade is shaped by the deeply ground swedge, how it intersects the primary bevel, and the fuller, the fuller ends just a few inches shy of the tip, how the tip is formed, but the tip is actually wider when viewed from the spine because of the grinds, which are all perfect. It's amazing. I have been very fortunate to own them.

It's certainly something I would buy a newer version of should I have the chance.

It really is a lovely looking knife, would love to own a few. The only thing that would be an improvement would be the Delta 3V heat treatment. That would blow the knife into astronomical levels of awesomeness!!!

The FK has had a remarkable number of beautiful and different color schemes combined to the metal. And that blue is another example of wonderful taste in color schemes. And those greens...and that butterscotch...and that edge cut brown micarta....and, on and on and on. Just Wow@!

Bacon, the Shiv is amazing, and the dark stonewash on the A2 simply cannot be replaced. While I also would like D3V, certainly would be different, but not absolutely better!

I agree Bob, the edge cut vintage has gone to a new home, with a collector of CPK who shall remain nameless but based on what he has, certainly deserves one of the vintage FKs. Who am I to keep two after all!

That butterscotch, she is here to stay. Would be the LAST one I ever give up lol. I have it on my desk, and it looks better every day as it ages.

I didn't know this thread was here! Don't mind if I do!

An impromptu cell phone video from our beach trip last week:

Nathan, I majored in math, many, many years ago. It was 3.1416, period. Cool video. Reminds me, as a kid, I memorized the word "antidisestablishmentarianism" because at the time, it was the longest word in the dictionary. I can still spit that word out the same, fast clip. Man, she has that number down the same way, fast and swift.

Holy cow, I can click off ten digits of pi from my college years, but that just renewed my hope for the future of our youth!! I was kinda afraid you were going to get hit in the family jewels for a minute there though  :D

She still looks good! Are you going for a D3V model?

I wish! I haven't been disappointed in this version of 3v so I don't think I need to upgrade. But you never know......

My kitchen knife is also fantastic. I got one for my Mom also and she loves it. I use mine everyday.

Here she is in the direct sun. Beautiful satin finish on the hollow grind. The wood looks better here as well. Closer to it's actual appearance with the reds and contrast in the grain.

As always, love Nathan's mark.

Look at the grain in the steel...

Nathan honed the edge on oil stones, it's sharp, really well done. Belly out on the end. Love it.

The knife is beautiful. It has a wonder light feel about it, with enough swell in the handle, and just enough length it just barely fill 4 fingers. It feels exceptionally well balanced, almost like an extension of your hand. It's almost effortless to move it.

Again, Nathan's talent to design a tool for a specific purpose and execute a production version of that design really shines through here. To me, this is a timeless work of quality craftsmanship. It doesn't have anything extraordinary about it in specific, like unobtainum pins, but the sum of the parts creates a heirloom quality tool that is an honor to own. This knife highlights Nathan's exceptional ability to machine a tool that functions extraordinarily well at it's intended task, and looks amazing while doing it.

Here it is with Nathan's sheath. Let's call it, charming and rustic.

well, wouldn't be all that bad, apart from the pain. Looks like they already did their job and how!

After using both models, I think a guy will have to push it to the extremes to see the difference. I've been intentionally hard on the new D3V model, and am thrilled with both it and the original run of 3V.

LMAO. True. Next thing ya know ol' Nate will be getting put out to pasture :D

Lol. I have no doubt! The ability to pass on a superior intellect is now well documented. :)

I made a salsa with these big beautiful Cherokee Purple Tomatoes from the garden using the Veggie knife. This thing makes tomatoes a pleasure to cut.

Just got in my potato knife, and now I need to decide exactly how I'm gonna use it, but use it I'm pretty certain I will:
