Man, I had to look back. I’ve had a solid 3 dozen CPKs pass thru my hands (a fraction of many users on this sub). Sold, traded or gave away a dozen. This one is unique though. Haven’t had the pleasure of experiencing the Skinner. But this is the thinnest, hollowest, lightest CPK I’ve had the pleasure of owning. And I’m digging it.

Those look like Osage orange with black (G10?) liners. Beautiful scales.

ETA: actually now that I look closely at it. It looks like a blend of two synthetic materials. I really don’t know what I’m talking about.

That’s some Osage Orange wood with a black micarta backer to keep everything flat and straight. (I think I got the technical part right there.)

Had to look to confirm myself coolbreezy37 …

I use a micarta liner for stability. Wood is pretty shitty. It cracks, it moves around, I need some kind of a liner against the tang to provide some stability.
