Looks great! Is the heel of the scales wet or is it natural variation and slightly darker?

Thanks, it’s the natural variation of exactly how it came. It goes full depth to the tang. Didn’t even wipe it off, it went straight from Jo’s plastic bag/wrap to these photos.

Here are a couple of closeups, there’s almost a Stag like end color appearance to it. I really like the contrast it shows.

That's what it looked like with it going the full thickness, but I wasn't positive. I really like the set you got.

Yea the only one that has a leather sheath is the def2 thanks to Bill. Bills the man. Too bad not more Bills out there willing to make killer leather sheaths for such rare awesome cpks in need.
