This may sound silly to old time users, but can anyone tell me how to post a photo on this Forum? I see other folks do it, so it can't be too hard. I seem to know more about my Buck knives then I do this $%&*# computer.

Thanks, Jack

I had heard about Photobucket and will work on that. I really don't have a problem with supporting the site by buying a membership, but as a retired school teacher, I'll wait until payday comes around again. Twenty five dollars will buy me another Buck knife in a tin can, but then, how many Buck knives does a feller need?:p

See if this works.

If I held my mouth just right, this should link you to a picture of the holster I made for my $23 Buck knife in a tin can!

Joe Houser once wrote me that the ONLY known cure "he" was aware of for a solid case of BUCK Fever is to own at least two of evey knive Buck has ever made.... one to keep and one for trading. But then, if you trade one, you have to replace it so you have enough trading material in the future....

I make them. All hand made, hand stitched, and custom fit. What do ya think? Jackrabbit

Kind of a cute sheath...good for gun or knife shows... :D

rudderjt - if you're wondering why my post keeps changing, I'm trying to track down why your URL seems so long...I see; you're posting the thumbnail, and linking the full-size view...I gotta look into that... :D

rudderjt - do you do pistol holsters also???

Yeah, I can do pistol holsters, too. If it's for a pistol that I have, so that they can be fitted. I have Ruger Blackhawks, Vaqueros, and Springfield 1911's.

I didn't realize that the eBay tutorial for posting thumbnails worked here, too. Thanks for bringing that to my attention! :D  I'll have to go over my old 110 threads and convert the full-size images to thumbnails...when I get a chance...(I wonder why no one pointed that out??? If my ex-wives were on this Forum, they wouldn't have hesitated to point out my deficiencies...) :jerkit:

Hmmmm...I like to carry my Colt Gov't Model 38 Super in a hip-holster, but none of them ride high enough to hide under a "varsity" jacket...I print pretty easily...

There used to be a forward-cant, open-bottom, high-ride holster that I wanted, but no one seems to offer it any more...it put the muzzle just about at the bottom level of the belt...it was almost a verticle shoulder holster, but either clipped on or was belt looped to the belt...

Anyway, I'd be interested in having something made up...I have enough stomach scars from carrying a Gold Cup stuck in my belt... :p

Trax,
I used to use a forward-cant high rise holster when I was a cop....at least until I changed guns. The high rise was standard issue when the PD issued S&W model 10's. When I went to a Colt Pyhthon, I used a break-front clamshell holster.

It's been awhile since I built holsters for anyone except myself, but have been giving it some thought. A retired school teacher has to do something to keep the wolves away from the door. My Vaquero and a Buck aren't always the right answer. I have a SOB holster that I made for my 1911A1 that rides pretty high. Anything can be done, I suppose. I'll try to get some pictures of some of my holsters today and post them.

Here are a couple more pictures, thanx to Photobucket!

Rudderjt,
Welcome to the Buck forum! Thats a nice sheath you made for the 110. I'm glad you figured out how to post pictures, you are way more computer savy then i am!
I do have to ask you guys to take this discussion outside now as it is dangerously close to a "for sale" thread which is not allowed here. If you kept it up, I would have to spend several hours trying to figure out how to close the thread down. Probably end up getting all mad and kicking the dog when I got home and he is really getting tired of that.

I thank you and Fido thanks you,

...:foot: ;) ...

To get back to the original post, I followed rudderjt's PhotoBucket trail and posted a quick & dirty howto that worked quite well for me...I've been going over some of my old posts and replacing full-size pics with linked thumbnails... :)

Sorry about that, Joe. I'm not out to sell any thing, just trying to learn how to post a few pictures. The first one worked, the next one didn't, so I'm still learning. Fido is safe.
