PHR-1 vs PHR-2 Hdnss Tester

Just reading the descriptions, looks like the only difference is the 2 is a little bigger (a little heavier, a little more size capacity), than the 1. Anyone have any real world experience with them as to which might serve better?

PHR-1 = 1" thickness capacity
PHR-2 = 2" thickness capacity

I have the 1. I'm not sure why any knifemaker would want or need the 2.

I have the PHR-2, because it was a better deal than the PHR-1 when I got it.

But PHR-1 is enough for a knifemaker. Get the one you can get the best deal on.
