any one have any h/c steel piano wire? i need enough to make a coil spring about 2'' long, and 3/16'' dia.

probably about .018-.025 dia. wire or close to it would work. it's a hammer spring for a single shot stevens crack-shot.

Andrew I have some. Have you looked in the machinerys handbook? It gives you the mandrel size so you wont have to trial/error and waste wire. Email me.

i have the student hand book for machienists, but not sure it's the book your talking about. i do have the old spring, and the dia. is important, but due to the way it fits in, size isn't as critical as in other firearms. there's a bit of tolerence in the way it goes in.


how much ya want for about 6'' or 1' of it.
