PIC Now ..Case stockman CV stag

I just ordered a Case stockman CV stag mdl number 58132. This goes against my own policy of not buying stag knives without seeing them. I hope I like it. Wish me luck! Pics when it arrives.

Wishing you the best of luck. I ordered one and just loved the stag and CV so much I ordered a second one for EDC. Well they must have known it would be EDC because the first is beautiful stag rich and colorful, the second is just grey bone looking. Still love the size, the CV and the stag still has the feel to it.

I've noticed quite a difference in the stag on the internet pictures.
 
Either way it will still feel like stag! Thats a big part of it to me :)

If you bought it from a reputable dealer, couldn't you return it if it turns out the stag is no good?
In my experience, most sellers will do the right thing, even on the auction site.

I've been eyeing these up for a while. I just can't bring myself to order stag sight unseen.

The beauty of Stag is in the eye of the beholder, but I think you did pretty good. That series seems to have some pretty nice scales from what I have seen.
I have a Min Hunter in Burnt Stag, just be glad it didn't end up looking like this;

:D I'm happy. Now it's time to remove the obvious burs from the factory edges.:):)
 
Is that pretty normal? I just got a Case trapper recently and the factory edges were a little rough...well, compared to a Boker trapper that I picked up as well...
