I received mine two days ago. I went through my usual patina, hone, and ballistol routine. I sharpen the clip and spey to 15 and the sheepsfoot to 20. My overall impression is mixed on this one. The springs are a bit light for my tastes, but the stag is nice and the 47 pattern is a classic. The clip and the spey took quite a bit of work to dial-in and the person who ground the sheepsfoot was having and off day. It was very very lopsided. After some work on the hones the knife is in good shape and I look forward to using it.
I did a compare to my '79 47 pattern. The '79 had better detail work on the blades but the kicks were a bit rough. The springs were also excellent but with the 2 springs there was a bit more rub. All in all, a wash for me.
