Hi Loug. What is your impression of the Ka-bar Bowie? That's the long one blade version you have isn't it? Heavy?, medium weight? Crap or good sheath? Pretty solid or cheaply made? Whats does ya have to say about her?:D

A good thread that got me thinking about the different ways to classify the knives I have.

By brand, the major groups (4 or more knives) would be Busse, Spyderco, Camillus, Blackjack, Swamp Rat, Buck, Schrade, Himilayan Imports, Victorinox, Wenger, Tramontina, Dexter Russell.

By type, I could do slipjoints (heavy emphasis on stockmans), hunters, fillets, locking folders, SAKs, choppers, machetes.

I also have groupings by a single model. For example, I have way too many Buck 110s in different configurations.

Insanity.

hey pit man

How do you like that Blackjack Grunt??

I love the overall feel and size of this blade but I must be honest I have yet to use it !!!
It's size and appearance make me reluctant to carry it as an edc when hiking...too many sheeple around, but I am hoping to give it some use when camping this year !!!!

William:

The Busse I have used most is the satin Jack. It has served three tours with me and I love it. The other two are safe queens for the moment. I like the HR, although it's not very sheeple friendly, my buddy carries one as his main knife while hiking and he loves his.

Hammer:

Yep you called it. A 'custom' (did it in my garage) Strider AR. I love waved knives and strider has always been one of my favorite.

I'm impressed. Springfield Armory, Busse, Steiner, Strider, Smith & Wesson. Clearly a man with good taste.

What model is that revolver? 629? With a bear and "Magnum Packer" on it, I assume it's a .44. How does a .44 snubbie shoot?
