Pic of family

William:

The Busse I have used most is the satin Jack. It has served three tours with me and I love it. The other two are safe queens for the moment. I like the HR, although it's not very sheeple friendly, my buddy carries one as his main knife while hiking and he loves his.

thanks Bro--

You have excellent taste in equipment!!!

Here's a few of mine:
The two Beckers and the Ritter/Grip have been on lots of wilderness treks with me. The coating on the Beckers was thrashed, so stripped them down to a sort of gunmetal finish. Even the tan coating on the BK9's handle was coming off, so I sanded it down a bit. I have more expensive knives, but these always find their way with me.

Here's a few that I recently got that I haven't really used to much yet, but they all feel great in hand and should be excellent performers. BM CSK, TOPS Pasayten, BM Ritter, Spydie Mini Manix. The Ritter fixed and the Pasayten are super light, there should be no problem carrying these on a belt for days at a time. Can't wait to get out and use these some.

Guyon:

The Bear Packer is an excellent firearm. It is a .44 Mag, and is Magma ported, which lends to some loud shots. Despite this I it is fast handling, no heavier than a standard pistol and definately puts rounds on target. I don't take full advantage of the cartridge and usually fire medium loads through it. (240gr@1275 FPS) I love the cartridge and this pistol has taken Javalina, deer, rabit and a few hogs. I find it to be an excellent self protection firearm for field carry where either dangerous predators can can lurk (I have Cats, and blackies on my property constantly) and for longer shots where a lower velocity cartridge introduces lots of long range guessing. I have taken deer at over 100yrds before (at rest) with it and am confident that if I am on, it will deliver the goods.

Oh yeah, hatchets/axes...

Chef, I have that same W49 Western Bowie in carbon steel (Colorado make). have been thinking about modding the guards a bit and doing a blade patina on it. Still deciding between that and selling it... Do you use yours much? Impressions in use?

:D

:D Whatever man! You know its just fun to beat the hell out of the Beckers because they take a monster edge and come back begging for more...;)

I am really starting to like those Ritter knives, aside from the good karma of them, I hear really good things.

Oh man, WE are in the same boat...I just got that in on a trade and cleaned it up a bit, put an edge on it and it has sat looking at me saying "What the hell are you gonna do with me now" ever since. The Western is made in 80 and also hi carbon steel...

I don't like the feel of it as a user, but I might practice modding it up or sending it to Scott to work on.

My users are the BK9 (I love that knife) the Siegle and the little Badger.

Chef, Tell me about it! The Beckers rock. That Crewman is just such a little tank, I've done all kinds of nasty stuff with it.
Just based on Doug Ritters knowledge, and how awesome the folder performs, I know the fixed will not let me down either.

By the way, what is that slim wood handled knife next to the Entrek? Looks cool.

Hi Loug. What is your impression of the Ka-bar Bowie? That's the long one blade version you have isn't it? Heavy?, medium weight? Crap or good sheath? Pretty solid or cheaply made? Whats does ya have to say about her?:D

 Its a heavy blade-1/4", KaBar 14-1/4" Large-Heavy Bowie. Sheath is ok but I don't like the Cordora part. Knife is solid. As soon as I have it out it will be put to some testing. Can't see anything going wrong with it. Its one heck of a hunk of steel for $50. I'm happy with it.

Sorry T, I didn't catch ya sooner...

Its a little Keith Murr Custom I just got in a trade and man its something else for sure. Its about a 1/4 inch thick of D2 steel. It looks like a filet knife but carries like a Mora/Ice Pick.

Very nice. The handle looks super comfy!

Guyon!

An electric knife! WTH!

Guess some fish are just too big for your fillets/choppers :p

No, seriously, no offense but... why?

Electric filet knives are the shis nittle bam boom, I can filet a cooler full of fish in a quarter of the time as someone with a regular filet knife. If you clean a lot of fish, electric is the only way to fly. Chris

Plus you can Clean Electic EELS

Not a lot but users all.

Missing from the pic are the hatchets and folding saw (out in the garage), A Gerber LST Magnum Jr. (can't seem to find it), a Spyderco Dragonfly FRN PE (Its in the wifes purse. I don't suspect I'll get that one back) and another Rapid River Skinner that is on the way.

Of course there is a handfull of beaters, chinese stuff and the stuff I keep in the kitchen (Ontario, Henkles, etc.) that didn't make it into the pic.
