Howdy Fellas!

There is a terrible lack of traditional knives in my collection... (I know, I know, I'm working on it! :)) Some time ago, I bought a few Case knives that didn't particularly impress me but I've decided to give them another go. I've got my eye on a few patterns that I'd like to buy in the near future: a mini Copperlock, a small CV Texas Jack and a Stockman. I'm having a hard time deciding between the medium and large Stockman and was hoping someone could help me out by posting a few photos of them side-by-side with something for scale (a ruler or maybe a standard sized lighter or coin?) It would be much appreciated!

Thanks for your time!

-Brett

Hi Brett!

Here it goes, made fresh from the camera to the internet :)

Top is a regular sized Bic lighter and then comes the Large Case Stockman and the knives below are both Medium Stockmen

I hope, this helps a little.

Kind regards

Danke, Andi!

That's exactly what I was looking for! Many photos online, but hard to find ones with scale...

Much obliged, my friend!

I think Andi has shown a 47 with 18.

So here is the large stockman 75 with the medium 18

Hi Jack!

Great comparison shots, Sir. These are the only Case Stockmen I own.

Kind regards
Andi

Thanks, Jack! Nice knives, by the way!

I believe the large Stockman has three back-springs whereas the medium has two... is this correct?

-Brett

That´s correct - the Large Stockman has three springs and the Medium Stockman has two springs

Kind regards

Many thanks, fella! I think I'll be going with the medium. The dimensions would seem to make for a very comfortable carry for me.

Cheers!

Brett!

Imo (!!) you can´t go wrong with a Medium Stockman. The bottom knife in my first post on this thread was my only EDC for nine months. The bone is absolutelly great and a little worn out... Sorry for getting back in memories :) ;)

Kind regards
Andi

The large 75 only has 2 springs, as the 18 does. Yes, Andi is right, the 47 has 3 springs.
As for a recommendation, the 18 pattern is a great carry, and a very capable knife. That very thin sheepsfoot blade is a hell of a slicer.
I'll have to get a 47 as well sometime, it sure looks good. Love that clip blade shape.

Did someone say pic requests?

Three Case Stockman's. The largest is the 6375. Nice and big.

Fine display of Amber Bone Stockmen there thanks.

What is the bottom one? Like that a lot.

Regards, Will

That's a 6344 in Tru-Sharp. Above it on the left is a 63032 in CV, next is the 6318 in SS, then the 6347 three spring in SS, and the top is the 6375 in CV.

I go for smaller knives, so the 6344 is my favorite. I wish mine had the lovely bone yours does Jack!

Threads like this remind me that I want a large CV stockman 75 either in Yella or bone

Nice pictures
