Hi all!

As the title says, I am looking for a couple of pics of modded 16's for my next review on TheTruthAboutKnives.com that will be running later this week, so only post here if you are ok with the photo appearing there. Mods can span the gamut from simply adding liners to the scales to full on custom handles or blade mods. I'll pick three or four to use.

I will of course give you credit either with your username or actual name, whichever you prefer, and will be linking to the forum in general.

Now, do your worst!

The only mods I did to mine were stainless hardware and micarta handles. I am sure you will get some really modified BK16 pics but I will post a few of mine just in case it helps. I think this is the most typical, practical mod that people do to the 16.

Here is one with just stainless hardware. About the smallest mod you can do.

Couple of mods on mine , just replaced the factory scales with TKC G10 and stripped the coating, plus a little bit of polishing.

Just a patina and bicycle tube grip...

This is fresh off a forced patina, never took a full pic.

I have since taken the hump on the spine down a bit and its ready for a patina redo...I'll snap a few pics soon.

Looking forward to your write up!

Thanks everyone, these are all awesome! I knew you guys would rock it.

I'm just going to pick a few that show the breadth of different types of mods. Aikiguy, your close-up pic of the handle is perfect for showing the stippling and liners, Saturated Shadow for the strip and clip, and Hawkhead for turning the knife into a full-on custom! I really like that wharnie pattern.

I am liking this.... E

Provided I am able to finish all of my photo editing tonight, the review should be up tomorrow :)

Started out life as one of the first production run 16's. I put curly oak scales and convexed the whole blade.

Not the greatest pic but it's all I got right now.

Thanks again everyone for helping me out! The review went up this morning and the mod pics make a great place to end the review.

And a thank you again to Ethan for the gift of the knife! This 16 is one that will always remain in my collection.

Funny to think that a year ago, my only Becker was my trusty 9, and now I've got about a dozen BKs :D

Thank you, tbhride, for including photos of my modified BK16 knives. If I did not already own four of them I would buy one due to your excellent review. It is well written and illustrates the type of outdoor tasks we expect a knife to perform.

Nice honest review TB. Liked it a lot, and will be showing/linking it to others I know. Well done!
