I asked on the RAT forum, but no one could post a side by side pic. Surely someone here has both of these?

I saw your request the other day but didn't have everything I needed. Sorry about that. I didn't want to post until I could deliver and then it slipped my mind.

Mods, feel free to move if you deem necessary.

I was loosing natural light, but here you go:

One with the flash - you can see the differences in the finishes with the flash shot.

If you're asking the subtle question of which...Definitely the RC-6!

Hope this helps.

Nice pics Cmdr, you definitely have a soft spot for the mid-sized knife category! I like the RC-6 quite a bit too. Only handled the RC-7. Big difference in F&F between the two.

Thanks kgd! It does definitely seem to be where the majority of my fixed blades fall.

The RC-6 is way above the RAT-7. That RAT-7 was a Christmas present last year that led me to RAT Cutlery.

I do need to get the RC-3 to replace the spot of the RAT3.

I took the RC-6 with me to the back woods today to do some fallen tree clean-up work before we start getting any real snows - it stayed in the sheath but it rode well and I didn't really even notice it was on.

The RC-6 is a fine product - worth the wait.

Thanks for the pics. I see the RC6 isn't much smaller than the RAT7. The RC6 also seems to have more of a drop to the point. This helps a lot in deciding which to get.

Thats one thing I found, its not as clunkly as you would think, I carried a BK7 for a while, and the RC6 is nothing compared to that.
