Hi folks (or HI folks!)

I wonder if anyone would be as good to post some pics of their HI WWII model against a AK? The heavier & bigger the better.

The reason is, I spent a night in the woods recently with my BAS, which is a lovely kuk, but I felt it was a little light for chopping. I've done some reading on Bladeforums and understand that these 2 kuk's are most recommended for chopping.

Thanks in advance,

Ross

Thats a great resource, thanks. I hadnt seen it before.

I'd still like a pic or two if someone wouldnt mind? Just to get a real life comparison.

OK I'll post a pic.

I don't think you'd want to compare the two since the WWII kinda dinky next to an Ang Khola.

Here is a Chiruwa Ang Khola with a WWII.

Although they are both as big as Texas (aerial shot required)

Eric,

I am curious as to the stats on that Chiruwa Ang Khola.

Ha, that's the 26" 60oz CAK by Sgt. Khadka that Yangdu offered up a few weeks ago.

I was also going to get that 24", but thought about it too long and you beat me to it by a few minutes.

I thought it looked vaguely familiar. :)

Well, I don't have a comprehensive variety, but I did a quick pic of the ones I have. The only Ang Khola I have that is "typical" is the 15" Ang Khola. The other CAKs are by the good Sgt. Khadka, whose knives I seem to be collecting.

Top to bottom, left justified for length

26" Chiruwa Ang Khola
20" Chiruwa Ang Khola
15" Chiruwa Ang Khola
15" Ang Khola (Amtrak kami)
16.5" WWII
18" WWII villager
18" WWII villager
15" BAS villager

Thats great, many thanks for taking the time to do that. Makes me more certain that I'm after an 18" model.

Nice collection, Eric. There is something to be said for pure metal mass.

And those are just the one that Ross was interested in!

Eric, have you actually used the 26" behemoth, and if so, for what?

Eric

Well, I have a couple of dead standing pine trees in the backyard and made a couple of two handed whacks at. It buried so deep I worried they would be ruined for future khuk testing. :)
