Can someone post a pic of a milie and para milie side by side? Ive got the para milie but am developing a hankering for the full size one. Trying to get a "feel" for the approximate size difference, so I can decide whether the big one would suit me. Thnks guys!!

O. How about the "eccentric pivot" is it a pain or is it too simple to be a consideration in a purchess?;)

Unless you are planning on hunting up an older model Military, it is a non-issue. They haven't used them since before the Para was introduced. Tighter manufacturing tolerances eliminated the need for the eccentric pivot (which are a PITA to adjust, by the way).

Military and para side by side in the middle of this one.

Thank you very much sir! Looks like roughly a half inch of handle and and inch or so of blade more than the para. That doesnt seem so much, as flat as they carry in the pocket.

Good news about the pivot, I was mildly unnerved about that.

The Military is kind of strange. When you open the box and pull it out, you will probably think "Oh my GOD! This thing is HUGE!" A week later, it is a normal size knife, a Para has become a Delica, and a Delica has become a Ladybug. ;)

Ha ha . And the downside is? Im gonna have to find a way to get one I think. Im getting the hankering for a big folder thats not ridiculously heavy, and I cant think of anything that fits the bill better.

That's because there is none. :D Even the Police 3 is on the heavy side for me. (It's the full liners and backlock.)

The Military is an amazingly well designed knife. That's the short version. ;)

Get one? Surely you jest!

:D

Oh, the downside is your keys get really heavy with a Delica on your keyring.

The Milie is a nice design. Light, open frame, real nice liner lock with detent, great choil and thumb ramp for choking up on the knife, flat grind, slight belly, and pointy tip. Not to mention the Spyder hole. A bit large for small pockets, but it's pretty comfortable clipped inside the waist band between front and back pockets. The hand grip on my Endura is just about perfect, but the large handle on the Milie allows you to move your hand around and grip the knife in different positions. The large handle wins you over pretty fast. I looked at a ParaMilitary the other day and although the compression lock is pretty cool, I prefer the simple liner lock lever to the rather large compression lock lever. I think the best thing about the Military is the light carry weight for the size. One thing about the orange G10 handles, any dirt on them really stands out against the neon. I'd use black handles for a work knife that's getting dirty every day.

Well, the Military is 4.25 oz, which is very light for such a large knife, but the Police 3 only weighs 5 oz.
I don't think that most folks are going to notice the extra .25 oz.

And the Benchmade 740 Lum Dejavoo is certainly a contender at 4.10 oz.
