Pick Your Two Favorite Stainless Steels

You would lose sole authorship, but you could send the SS blades to Peters for HT.
Peters has a good rep & you wouldn't need to invest in new equipment.

My vote would be for CPM154 - 154CM.

If it was just down to two Steels and nothing else I would have to go the ATS-34 & D2 route as I have several made in both these Steels and they just seem to work for me as all around go to Blades.! Hold up good and keep a good edge and fairly easy to sharpen.*

Of your choices, 154CM and CPMS30V - primarily because they are the steels I have some experience with.

The 154CM is a favorite - I also have it on a Benchmade mini-grip and it is good - holds an edge acceptably, easy enough to sharpen and does not corrode or have any odd smell like some of the carbon steels.

440c has been a tried and true steel, but it does not hold up as well in most cases as some of the others.

Powdered steel is a good thing.

This is awesome John. I think this will put your knives in a lot of new hands. 154cm and s35vn are awesome steels.
