I was at a local gun show today and at a table way in the back was a man selling some nice knives; spyderco, benchmade, pro tech, and kershaw. He had most of his knives all out of order so you had to be very careful while looking or you might miss something. While looking I saw a Delica with the dark green handle and asked to see it. It was what I thought, a plain edge ZDP, so I asked how much. He looked through his price book and let me have it for $70.00 and no tax. I've been happy ever since.
Oh by the way the lock up was great and the FnF are also great. Very sharp too.
This makes my 6th Delica. Don't still have them all but I really like these knives.

Great buy for that price! ZDP is some nice steel, it takes a nice thin edge and holds it forever. If you really want it to be an über cutter send it to Tom Krein for a full flat grind to a real thin edge, and you will see what great cutting ability is all about.

Thanks guys. I was considering a Krein re-grind but I'm not sure yet. I REALLY like all the work I've seen of his on these and other boards so I may have to go ahead a try him out. One of my all time favorite knives is a Delica 1 with the hollow ground G2 blade. I've had it since the mid 90's and I think it cuts better than the D4. I think if I send a knife to Tom I might see if he can get it as close to that first Delica as possible. Although I don't have any FFG blades I don't think I would like them. Just a personal thing I guess.
