Picked up a Hogue Tomahawk

It's not very big but has a great balance 13"L x 6"D with 3-1/4" bit. This has replaceable hammer, spike and spade, I only have the hammer. The steel is S7 so should hold up well. Handle is g10. The sheath is g10 with magnetic holder, multi position IWB kydex plus belt loop mount also . All in all I'd say Elishewitz did good, pretty much thought of everything.
I'd bet this could last a lifetime sitting in my safe.

Retail is 450 on the full kit with 3 heads. Hawk alone is 300 and heads are 70 each. I won't discuss what I paid but about the cost of a head.

Well it really looks like a well Designed Axe, are you going to go out a do some chopping to test it?

No I don't expect I will ever use it. I'm not into the bush craft stuff.
I noticed you said it would last a life time in the safe, i am first buying less costly axes like the SOG and Cold Steel Tomahawks costing around $45 dollars, and doing my testing on logs that came from a tree that was cut down, it also give me something to do besides read the forums.

I too have a few cheapo hawks but do not use them either. Knife collecting is a sickness.
Yes tell be about buying knives, i had a part time in 2016 job selling knives at my local sporting goods store, problem was every time i saw a new knife i would buy it.
Them Microtechs really are costly along with a bunch of Spydercos and many others.
