Got these at the Richmond Gun Show today. The new Endura is SO much nicer than the older style. Everything from the blade profile to the extra heft really take this model upscale. I am completely blown away, it's been a while since a knife did that. Spyderco has really done it this time!

Manix is great as already written about many times on this forum. Not as heavy as I was expecting and this is good. Had to buy the display model so I couldn't handle more than one. Now, my new endura snaps shut loudly and the Manix barely shuts itself. Is this normal for this blade profile and spring combination?
Thanks
Adam

APS (that wouldn't happen to be a job title would it?)

You might want to add just a bit of lube to the Manix pivot. If it was a display model, who knows how many times it had been handled before you finally bought it. Also, the Manix has an adjustable pivot, so you may want to loosen it a bit to get the action set to where you like it.

Which dealer did you purchase them from, and how were the prices?

Chris, thanks for the suggestion. I put some miltec in it but haven't tried the pivot. I'll mess with that and see.

I got the Manix from Confederate Cutlery, the guy all the way to the left when you enter he has almost an entire row. Price was $120 which is close to internet prices I think. Confederate Cutlery always seems to have great prices.

Got the Endura4 from (the receipt says A+ Distribution) but he was on an table end somewhere in the middle, one row back from the front. Guy with glass cases, CRKT, Benchmades, Ontario, etc. He had a new stainless Endura but no Endura4 out but found one in his stock. Price was $50. Basically internet + shipping.

CONGRATULATIONS! These are the two actual models I've been trying to decide on. Pictures, if possible, would be extremely appreciated!

untamed, are you trying to decide between one or the other? They really are very different. Manix is wider both in the pocket and blade, I will be using this one outdoors and may even try to find a horizontal sheath for it. The Endura will get carried outside of work. Here are two pics with a mini grip that I carry at work for size.

APS,

Looks like you got a pretty good deal. Those two dealers seem to always have reasonable prices when I go.

I have to say that the Manix is one of my favorites. I'd probably carry it more if my Military hadn't reclaimed my pocket. Enjoy!:D
