After talking on the phone and corresponding via email I finally met Brett Matthews today when I picked up my Esteem grinder.

Great guy with an incredible shop. Got a great tour, and got to know Brett a bit. He is a man obviously dedicated to putting out a quality product. He showed my son and I some folders he made. Incredible quality.

My son and I are looking forward to having the grinder up and running. It will be a couple months before we are moved in to the new shop and really going though.

The finish and attention to detail are obvious. Everything he has done around his shop is neat and tidy, just like the wiring and everything on the grinder. I can't recommend Brett highly enough. Great product, and a great guy to do business with.

Brett's a great guy and the Esteem is a great grinder. Good choice and enjoy the grinder!

His machines are incredibly well built and his quality shines through.
When I run mine - the only thing I hear is the belt on the platen.

Dry side. I'm in the market and am torn between the KMG and esteem. Was this a dilemma for you? If so can you enlighten me on some of the reasons you chose esteem? Thanks in advance!

I personally chose the Esteem because the Bader tooling is interchangeable.
And I already have a BIII and tons of tooling.
I will say this - Bader has been in business for a very long time.
Brett makes 5X the machine - for less $$.
It was a no-brainer.

Brett and I shared some table space at a show a couple years back.
I was impressed with how quiet the machine was. Looked to be very nicely made.
The 2 comments I heard the most were in regards to how smooth it ran and that it was a great price for what you were getting.

I had pretty much settled on the KMG and then I found out about the Esteem. I emailed Brett and was really impressed right from the start. I like that the Esteem is direct drive. Brett had it up and running when I got there since he didn't have to break it down for shipping. It is very, very quiet.

When you look at things like wiring it is done extremely neatly. Brett's attention to detail and quality is evident where ever you look.

I think the design is great, and its built to last. Brett has one customer that is a tool and die maker that has three Esteem's.

I have read a lot if good things about KMG as well, but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Brett and the Esteem. If you have any concerns or questions, give him a call. I can tell you that meeting him in person only affirmed and strengthened my feelings about him.

Now we need to see some photos with you putting it to use.

Hint Hint

I dropped it off at the new shop this evening after we got back to town. Will probably be around the 1st of February before it sees much use. Will get a pic as soon as the bench is built and its installed though. That will be this coming week.

Didn't receive contact. Congrats on the new grinder, would like to see it when you get it set up. Jess

Karl

How is it better than a Bader ?

Any specifics?

I though it was just a copy

I can't speak for Karl. But I did talk with him a bit before I bought the two Esteem grinders I have now. They are built like tanks, machining is flawless, it was very apparent to me that the man gives a damn about what he builds and he is good to talk to. I have been in the tool and die trade for 30 years and was VERY happy with how these grinders were put together and how smooth they run....I also own 2 Bader III's and a KMG....I would buy another Esteem grinder any day of the week.

If someone could please point me in the right direction to contacting Brett to purchase a grinder. I emailed Brett to no prevail, I'm sure he's a very busy man. Thanks in advance ya'll.

I will send you his phone number via PM. I just talked with him yesterday and he said he's been really busy.

ON EDIT:

I went to your profile and didn't see a way to send a PM. I posted his number in your visitors post area.
