Picked up my first Case knife

Thanks for all the comments guys.

That´s a nice looking Case. Congratz to that one. Is it Chestnut Brown Bone? I own the same Stockman but instead the spey blade mine has a pen blade. It´s about 2010 made.

Kind regards
Andi

I'm not sure what color it is exactly, but isn't chestnut bone brown more brown overall? Mine has kind of a cream, brown/orange color.

Welcome to traditionals, and prepare to spend a lot more. :D You've got a nice knife there, with nice scales. Is it carbon steel or stainless?

Carbon steel :)

Welcome aboard. That is a nice looking traditional case. Although this is your 1st, I will almost guarantee it won't be your last. You just caught the traditional fever.

Yep, you pegged it. I used to carry a Kershaw Leek until I found my way over here. I still like the Leek, and it is clipped to my pocket occasionally. However, since January I have obtained nine traditional knives.

The Case Peanut has become my "go to" or first choice pocket knife every day.

Oh yeah, I forgot to say, that is a lovely Stockman you have!

I bought a Leek as part of a shipment that also included at least one traditional knife. IMO, is is a GREAT example of a one handed locking folder. Maybe even "better" than my old Delica ... But as I examine my knife uses with a realistic and critical eye, I really don't need so much knife, and I find I get more satisfaction out of a traditional slipjoint, and sometimes, even more functionality too! (ex. Having a small blade that makes precision cuts easier)

I think a lot of us are here who used to carry ( or still carry) multi-tools or tactical folders.
