  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Picked up one of these tonight

I am waiting for my 112LE to arrive. It is is Fedex's clearing house in Sydney, Oz. I am hopeful that it will be in my hands Monday/tuesday next week. Fedex tell me that it is past customs and just waiting for final clearance. Taken them 3 days already to clear. Something about the paperwork. I have had to provide more info. :( Looking forward to delivery so I can smile. :)

Here ya go:

I'm not certain how all that works with FedEx and customs when you buy a knife from a retailer.
I do know that I sent a knife to Australia using the US Postal Service. I filled out a little green form that they stuck to the padded envelope. I wrote "gift knife" and value at, IIRC, $50. The gent received it in less than a week  and I think it cost me less than $8 to send it
Maybe cause I put "gift" on it?
Just think it sucks that you guys outside the US have to go through all the crud and expense to get a Buck MDG (and Maverick, et al).
Look forward to seeing pics of your 112LE :)

It can be so easy to get knives sent over here but every now and then it can be a pain in the a$$. All of mine got to me in about a week except for the last one it went MIA 6 weeks ago :( .
It is so much cheaper buying from the US than buying in Australia though  .

Nevermind---I'd post pics if I could post pics:(

Was that a request for assistance??? ;)

If you would like to post pictures but are only a "Registered User", there is a Quick & Dirty tutorial at Photobucket For Dummies. If you don't have a digital camera, but do have a scanner, lay your knife on the glass and throw a light colored towel/t-shirt/cloth over it and scan it. Save the pic, and follow the above instructions for posting pics.

My 112LE has finally arrived after 4 days at Fedex in Sydney, Aus. I am impressed with it. It has a nice feel and locks up solid. Blade is nicely centred and finish is excellent. Here is a photo with 2 other knives for comparison. The top knife is a Queen D2 that is my EDC. Middle knife is a Puma 960 Cub from the 70's. It was my EDC for a while in the early 80's.

In comparison to the others it is wider, bigger and heavier. It has more belly so it would make a good outdoors knife. It is a little big for the pocket but it has a nice sheath.

All in all I am happy with it.
