Hey guys im looking for a knife that looks nice not to aggressive a knife that people wont freak out over and one that i could take to church and not get weird looks. I like Carbon Fiber so if you got any ideas Please let me know. Personal experience with the knife is good also.

Depends on your price range. Heck, if I had the money, I'd pick up a custom by Don Hanson. Barring that, perhaps a Ken Coats or Mike Alsdorf. For semi-custom, William Henry knives are stunning. If you want carbon fiber, perhaps a Spyderco Kiwi or Kopa would fit your needs, though I believe they've both been discontinued.

You're going to have to be more specific about price and style for us to be of any help. There are too many classy-looking blades out there.

My pick for a classy looking tactical would be a Todd Begg Gent's Glimpse. Or maybe a Sebenza, or any William Henry; the list goes on and it doesn't have to be expensive.

My personal classy EDC is a Kershaw OD-1 in desert ironwood burl:

If you like carbon fiber, here's an idea for you: You can get custom CF scales for just about any knife with liners. Various people do them; one is Chase Axinn of Chax Knives.

Spyderco has released a few nice folders in carbon fiber. Take a look at most traditional patterns. Not too many choices in carbon fiber, but lots of nice folders. Not trying to beat a dead horse, but there are some really nice wood inlays to choose Sebenzas in, if price is not a worry. There are some really nice William Henrys out there with carbon fiber bolsters etc.

Well in the $300+ range, Mnandi's from Chris Reeves Knives seem to get a lot of praise as a gentlemen's Folder. They are 2h open, which seems to get a lot less flack than 1h open from your average person.

For me, I use a 2007 annual Sebenza as my "safe" knife, its wood inlays seem to calm people down a bit, but I would rather have the Mnandi for that purpose specifically.

I would try to pick up a spyderco CF kiwi...small blade, and very classy IMO

good luck:D

The spyderco sage 1 is really nice. Size, weight, materials, ergos. I have one and highly recommend it.

770-BC1. you'll have to do some hunting to track one down as they're out of production, but if you can find one they're well worth it. it's also available with several other scale options and an uncoated blade, but I've always been a big fan of the ceramic coating. if you can find a 690-BC1 it's a little larger and a liner lock, with really beautiful CF bolsters and rosewood scales:

Pick any knife you like with scales and send it to Philip Dobson that posted that pic of the Od-1. He does a fantastic job and can do you up some scales in an exotic wood that would look very classy. If you look at his flickr you will see examples of his work, he makes amazing pieces.

+1

Great knife!

A little lower on the pricing scale, I have a Lone Wolf Blackfoot - I've carried it quite a bit, its on the smaller side, has beautiful (ebano) wood handles and is not at all intimidating IMO. That said its got a S30V blade that comes shaving sharp and is up to pretty much anything I throw at it

(sorry about the crappy pic)

Snody's got some nice stuff, other than that the Buck Paklite skinner is real clean and classy lookin, the RKK Snitch comes to mind as well

I have EDCed Mnandis at work and in the city quite exstensively and part of the reason I do is so it won't freak people out and I don't have to walk away to use it. I was just in Las Vegas and used it at the Black Jack tables and didn't get any weird looks. Plus it's more than tough enough for the hardest of my tasks like cardboard or cutting cigars. Hope this helps.
