Picking a Classy blade

This is one of my favorites. It's silver twill G10 scales looks like a light carbon fiber, but feel nicer and more solid in hand, almost too slick and smooth, but grippy enough for me.

If the Carbon fiber Sage1 or Caly3 CF are to scary for you I'd recommend the Carbon Fiber Kopa if you can find one. All three are great knives but the Kopa or Caly3 CF seem a little more gentlemanly to me, especially if you were going to remove the Pocket clip.

Sorry for the cruddy iPhone pic.

I have been contemplating making one of those my next purchase... can you open them with one hand? Do they feel solid? The damascus one is sweet.

Yes they are one hand opening and they have very smooth pivot action. Very solid little knives. Made with the same tight tolerances of the Sebenzas but in a smaller package.

I love that damascus Mnandi.I want to get one,but just not ready to drop that kind of coin on a production knife.

+1 on the Spyderco ZDP-189 CF Caly 3!!
I got one 3 weeks ago and it hasn't left my pocket since. I used to freak out my office mates when I pulled out one of my Kershaw Blur's. They would probably run out of the building if I ever EDC'd my Endura
The Caly 3 is very low key and just beautiful! And it can be had for around $100.

What about the new Spyderco Michael Walker? It's very light, small, and non-threatening, but has a one handed opening ZDP-189 blade and CF scales.

Mcusta has some nice folders, check them out. Also if you want a really cheap knife try the carbon fiber Buck nobleman, for around $20.

I just got a Benchmade 943 and it is really nice, axis lock is fun to play with as always, and I personally think that it looks classy, not scary of anything like most of my knives.

evidently pocket clip is a must. if not, in church i wouldnt hesitate to pull out a Case/Buck folder. around here, half the county carries one or the other, and i dont mean just the male half.:D

Give Spyderco Gayle Bradley a look - I think it has what you are looking for, plus M4 steel, and you can pick one up for well under your budget.

I know the OP asked for carbon fiber but my experience is that black G-10 looks a little bit too "tactical" (whatever that means) to non-knife people. And also, in my humble opinion, other colors don't look "classy" enough.

When going to places where more discreet and classy knives are needed I take my Benchmade 940. It's classy, small and doesn't scare anybody.

If you hurry then a knife that fits your needs best is the sprint run reissue of the famous Spyderco Michael Walker. It's smaller than a Sage or Caly 3 and thus I think it's a better choice fro your needs description:

The Buck Nobleman is a nice little knife (I have one and use it a lot), but just a clarification that the scales are "carbon fiber graphic" but not the real thing. They are some sort of rubberized composite.
