i have been searching (and buying) high and low for a new EDC fixed blade. So far i have looked at

ESSE 3 mil
Tops scandi trekker
short becker drop point
bradford guardian 3
doug ritter rsk mk3
bark river fox river A2
kabar jarouz globetrotter

looking for a 3-4.5 in knife (3 is min really)
fixed blade decent steel (not going to baton much but the ability to would be nice in a pinch)
smallish footprint (9in overall is pushing it)
thinner would be nice (less bag bulge etc) im using a 5.11 covrt zap sling bag (knife will reside in the ccw velcro lined compartment)

atm im liking the Ritter rsk mk3 and the tops scandi trekker (bradford guardian is nice but smallish)

any thoughts or suggestions are more than welcome :)

Second that a second time! Get a custom! So many good ones out there! I am getting one made right now. I put an order in because I couldn't find exactly what I wanted.

Definitely take a look at the fixed blades sold here. That link above. Right now there are some nice ones around your description/preferences!

ended up keeping the ESEE 3mil and the Tops Scandi trekker... easy to sharpen strong as hell lifetime warranties vs buying customs

the bag is a 5.11 COVRT ZAP urban slingbag really nice has a felt lined compartment for sunglasses and a phone and wallet holder above the bag for easy access and a hidden CCW compartment lined with velcro (they make velcro holsters etc) but i just put some industrial velcro from home depot on the esee sheath and it worked perfect
