• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

pics of picks :p

Those are mighty fine though mate! I've ran by a couple in decent quality, but just couldn't convince myself that I needed them :(

i like that word...snagged
but the word i use is....fell off the truck..
i have a few more that i need to re do, as far as value in money they arent worth much...i think 20 bucks or so would buy a new one. the problem i have is once i spend some time on something...its not for sale, so i tend to collect alot of junk

Isnt that from the dierks bently song "Down in the Mine". Sorry to go off topic

From "Dark as a Dungeon", written by Merle Travis. Same guy that wrote "Nine Pound Hammer" and "Sixteen Tons"

Miners' pics are usually smaller and the points are straighter, similar to the one on the far right in the pic. Smaller picks with short handles were easier to swing underground. I have one that one of our guys found in an old punch mine we opened up to survey.

OP: Glad you could bring them back to life. I love rehandling or re-purposing old tools. Most of them will last another century with no problem.
