PICS Added - Please help me identify a Benchmade knife?

I bought a Benchmade knife today that I suspect is either an early model U.S. made PIKA or an Ascent, but I am not sure. Can anyone here please tell me as to what model Benchmade it is, as I have never seen one like it. Is it possibly a prototype of a model which was later made/produced? The measurements/dimensions closely match a full-size PIKA, but I thought PIKAs were made overseas, and this one was clearly U.S. made.

I can email pictures of it to anyone who is very familiar with Benchmades and thinks they can make a positive identification.

*It resembles a cross between an AFCK and a Pika as it has a lockback like pictures I have seen of the PIKA and the mini-Pika, but a blade and handle groove similar to the AFCK. It honestly looks like an AFCK at first glance except for the handle with the lockback and the handle being made of some type plastic (G-10 or Zytel?).

*It is black (handle and blade and parially serrated) except for some of the writing, the Benchmade logo, and of course in the serrations on the blade.

*It has some type plastic scales/handles with one side raised and the other smooth...again - G-10 or Zytel grip?

*It has a reversible 3 point pocket clip or tip up or down that only affixes to one side, and the pictures I have seen of a PIKA had 2 point clips (?).

*The blade is marked "ATS-34" with 2 patent numbers on one side and the Benchmade logo on the other side of the blade.

*The Patent Numbers on the blade appear to be "DJ84871 & DJ85173" when I zoom into the pictures.

*"MADE IN USA and US PATENT PENDING" is stamped on the smooth side of the plastic handle (same side the pocket clip attaches to), but no model number that I can see anywhere on the knife?

There was no model number given by the seller in this information below.

Thank you for any help you can provide regarding this knife.

Seller provided information:

"BENCHMADE ATS-34 BLACK FOLDING KNIFE 3.5" BLADE
A Benchmade ATS-34 black blade folding knife.

Made in USA. US Patent Pending.

Overall excellent pre-owned condition, blade looks in excellent condition, looks to have been gently sharpened.

Rest of the knife looks pretty much brand new.

Open measures 8.25" total length, blade measures 3.5". Folded measures 5" long."

So, why can't you post pictures of the knife? It would really be more helpful than to emamil them to someone.
At any rate - Does it look like this at all?

Similar, but the ATS-34 is on the other side of the blade. How do I post pictures here, I have no button to do so when I post? ETA: does it have to be from an offsite host or can I do it from my computer?

If you are going to use it what's the problem? It sounds like a decent knife.

That looks a lot like it - let me finish dinner for my oldest who just finished cutting his Grandmother's yard, and I'll go to image shack and then try to upload the 6 pictures I have. Thanks.

There is no problem other than I would like to know what knife it is...Why do you read into this that there is a problem? How did I give you that impression by asking a question to help ID the knife?

No offense intended.

Thanks Viking, that looks exactly like my knife. The ONLY real discernable difference I see is that the ATS-34 (as you mentioned) is on the other side. My knife is pretty small, I'd say about as small or slightly smaller than a Spyderco Delica.
Would you agree?

Edit:
Looks like a Benchmade 820SBT (Ascent - due to the light weight handle material and no liners in mine). Looks like a good knife to me, serrations may be a bit hard to sharpen though.

I don't have the knife in hand yet, so I can't measure the blade to be sure until it gets here, but based on the seller stating a blade length of 3.5" inches, would it make more sense being an 830 or 835?

http://www.precisionarms.com/Pages/Knives/AscentPage.htm
MODEL 830 & 835 ASCENT - BLADE MATERIAL: ATS-34 STAINLESS STEEL HARDENED TO 59-61 HRC LENGTH: 3.50"(8.89cm) THICKNESS: .115"(2.92mm) OPEN: 8.25"(20.96cm) CLOSED: 4.875"(12.38cm) WEIGHT: 2.70oz(77g) HANDLE: MOLDED BLACK ZYTEL WITH REMOVABLE STEEL CARRY-CLIP LOCK MECHANISM: MID-LOCK

Is the ASCENT series generally considered a good knife?

Hmmm....I just noticed that my knife says ""Balisong" on the butterfly and Benchmade USA beneath it. Mine must be a fake... :(

Aah, a sliced hand here or there isn't that bad.:) I usually have the blade tight against the right edge of my pocket so the blade can't open.
