Not that my pics are anywhere near Coop-quality--and I admittedly do have the benefit of LOTS of natural light and some useful "props" (my beloved Stetson and my Ruger). But still, I think these suck a bit less than what we originally looked at. :D ;)

I think I got a pretty good deal. Now to figure out what kind of sheath I need to fit it with the rest of my rig.

I can post higher res on request.

Very nice! That Joe is getting better!;)

And nice pics, I like the "props".

Kind regards,

Jos

These pics do suck less and the knife definitely is seriously sweet.

Congrats my man and nice work Joe!

^^^ I agree on all the above.

At what point, though, does 'sucking less' become good? Ohhhh, the irony is priceless! ;)

Good work by all. :)

Ahhhhhhhhh, shuddup!!!!!!:D My brother took those pics. Not one of his better efforts, but it could have been worse. You guys have gotten so spoiled by Coop that you may have forgotten how truly horrid the pics that I actually take are.:rolleyes: And YES, I have bookmarked Coops thread on building a lightbox. So how do you guys like the new makers mark aside from the fact that the etchant bled though the Sharpie ink a little bit? This is first knife that I have used it on. I need to have a little talk with Mr. Bump to find out what he uses as a resist on his mark.

Photo quality aside, I really like that knife. Joe is doing some good work.

Congratulations, Jon

Joe, that's a VERY classy mark. I hope to see that more often.

Thanks. I got the idea from Bruce Bump's mark. I figure if you are going to plagiarize, better you should steal from Shakespeare than Jackie Collins, right? :D

I had to look twice to see if that was my name on there! Not thats its not a nice knife but it didnt look familiar. I'm flattered! Nice work.
Yes I polish to 2000 grit and resist with finger nail polish. Be careful to not touch the mark after that or some of the nail polish will rub off and it'll show. Its an old Rick Dunkerly trick actually.
Again, Gorgeous Bowie.

Ask and ye shall receive.:D Thanks, Bruce. I did that one with a Sharpie, but I went back over it before it was dry, I think.

Used up the last of your polish doing your toenails the other night, eh? ;) :D :D

I kid, I kid!

It turns out this is my first large damascus blade. It didn't even occur to me until now.

Funny guy. Interestingly, it is my first large damascus blade too.:D I used clear nail polish on the spine stamp on my first damascus blade and it peeled up at the edges a little bit. i guess the caveat is don't use cheap ass Walgreens store brand nail polish.

Congrats, that's a fine Bowie! And yes, at least we can see it this time :D

Toni, I can't make it to Gembloux unless I sell a few like that one. ;) I plan to bring at least one or two like that, but probably with ladder or laddered W's steel.
Great work Joe, was kindda hoping to see this one in Gembloux.

Greetz,

Toni
