Pics From Blade Show 2011

Thanks for the pics guys. Makes me want to attend even more than I already did..

Looks like a few more knives have been added to my 'wants' list from just the pictures...

Great post MW. I talked to a few people with tables set up there and was told that overall sales were a little low. Steve from SJJP Knives felt that the economy was still impacting sales. I was to go but still working in the tornado zones.

Thanks Brian...we had a last minute crisis and my son and I couldn't make the show:mad: My son was pretty disappointed...next year is aready marked on the calendar and I told my son he'll have to set up a Blade Show account for his allowance:D:D

Wow--that Shango XL looks NICE! I love my regular one. :D:thumbup:

Mistwalker, thanks for taking the time to do this. Really appreciated especially by those of us who will probably never get there in person.

Doc

Did you notice I took your advice?

Cool pics. Looks like a good time.

I gotta say though that the Blind Horse looks like the Frontier Valley and not the Frontier First. Never held either but the specs on the Valley is 6 1/2" OAL which is about the same as the ESEE. The First is 5 1/2" OAL.

I could be wrong...not like I never have been. I'll have to look to be sure and fix that.

Great thread my friend, ...thanks for bringing us along.

That Fiddleback knife you scored is savage! ;)

Big Mike

Thanks man, glad you enjoyed it, and yes it is!

Was that Steve Dick with Jeff Randall? Very cool display of Fiddlebacks!

Yep.

awesome pics Brian... definitely looks like a great time... i have to make it there one of these days..:)

congrats on the new blades too.. i love that Hiking Buddy..

Thanks man, and I'm loving it too.

My pictures suck, even the ones out in the pit. All i have are stuff that I had something to do with so its kinda too self promoting. I was too busy running around, but I did get to meet moonwilson and a few of the other members on the forum

but I did get a chance to feed Dylan' Fletcher and his mom, bugs :)

Nah, they don't suck, and at least you made it to the pit....

very cool stuff!
I want a RMJ even more now and I think I might need something for Fletcher Knives.
Thanks for the pics.

Yeah, there are a couple more things from RMJ that I reeeeally want!

Most of the people I talked to had pretty good sales.

I imagine you have your hands full!

Yeah, I'm liking the looks of that too!

You know, the Shango and this one, Son of a Shango (XL) and very, very few other TOPS Knives ever caught my eye. Seriously, most of their stuff just doesn't do a thing for me but the Shango(s) and I think they made the Hoffman Harpoon as well, and the little boxcutter type, last ditch blades they make are really attractive. I guess it is because I have moved away from hacking and chopping over the years to a large degree. I think the TOPS stuff that I really do admire just fits with my own mindset - what can I do with this? Not bragging rights or how badass something looks...just what can I do with it...

Great pics. Good seeing you again mist. Did you finally get some sleep

So how do you like it? :D Mine has quickly become my favourite little knife.

Doc

I like it a lot, handle is much more comfortable than the original.

Good seeing you to bro. Yeah, finally...lol, took enough benedryl and cold medicine to knock me out Saturday afternoon

Got to hand it to ya Mist...coming home with only those knives shows a big exercise in self-control;)

I sure wish I could go there one day , but I'd probably have to get a second mortgage on the house ! seriously, you'd have to drag me out of there ,lol. Thanks for showing:thumbup:

Oh, it always takes self contol, but there would have been others. Those will have to wait though because only the protos were at Blade.

Great pics, Misty... that FB blade looks great. It was good seeing you again, bro... as before, never enough time to sit and shoot the poop. Thanks for the new avatar pic!

Thanks bro, it was great seeing you again. I really regret not feeling up to getting to the pit to hang out a bit and have a beer with you, I had hoped to make that a running tradition.

It's funny, Lisa saw how disappointed I was that I didn't make it to your table in time and was going to order me one of your knives as a father's day/birthday present until I told her how many orders you took at Blade. So...now she is ok with me getting there a day early next year. SO, call me when you get there damn it!!

You're welcome! Lol, I figured you'd use the other one.

Some cool knives from TOPS.
I'm liking this one:
