• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

I love traveling down to upstate NY to hike and fly-fish. With the Adirondaks and such around, the opportunities abound.

Here's a few pics of my wanderings this weekend in the Franklin County State Forest looking for Brook Trout:

Marty's area of the country is truly beautiful. Hope you all had a good weekend.

That looks real pretty country bro !
I could easily kill time wondering around there !!!

That's not Franklin Co ! This time of year they still have 6' of snow !!...Actually more proof that NY state has everything .

I'll always have fond memories of the Adirondacks. I grew up in upstate NY, and I have spent a lot of time camping, backpacking, and canoeing there.

The only brookie story that I have happened at Lake Colden. We were walking around after dark, and spotted some brookies hanging out in a tiny stream next to the lake. I was able to just reach in and pull several out of the water.

WOW!! Beautiful there!! Sigh.....................I cant wait to get back out.............
