My wife and I went on a trip to Germany last December. Before we went I got on line to see if I could meet any knifemakers or collectors over there. I met a fellow named Olli and we hit it off rather well...nice guy. First day there we hooked up and went to a blade museum in an old Monk monistery in Soligen(spe?) and then a few days later he was kind enough to show my wife and I around Duseldorf.
Here a a couple of pics from the museum...more to come.***Scroll down for more pics***

Think that I would be afraid to use that fork and knife set! Looks like they are removal but still :0

I guess that set makes it easy to determine who is going to get the big piece of chicken:eek::D

A flintlock carving set  Someone must really not trust his dinner guests

Go on Mace, I dare you :D

I want one of those carving sets for Thanksgiving !!! Who can make one ?? ...." I'll tell you who gets what piece of turkey ! "

Very cool pics Mace  I especially like the "Cut-n-Shoots" too. Some very elaborate handle work on a few of the blades. Anymore pics ?? ;)

Mace, You made my day! Thanks for the shots of the flintlock double barreled table set. That is such a cool design with the sliding powder bowl. With any luck a guy could shoot 4 unmannerly table guests with this set.

Hey guys, ....Hey Olli,
It was an awsome trip! I have to say the fork and knife set was my favorite.
Here are a few more.
Mace

Oh yeah.....Page, all the stuff was old.:D

Olli, No problem.:D Please post more if you have them. I erased some from my camera before loading them into my computer by mistake.
Thanks

mace was a 120# weakling untill he got his hands on that knife and fork set. then his older siblings thought twice before they took food from his plate
