WOW Jake you really posted up some amazing skills in this post. I wish I had more time to get out and do these types of things but I'm tied to the shop. Look forward to meeting you in Oct. Anybody else that can make it to the Gosstoberfest event, I'd love to see you make it. We have a super talented group that attends every year.

Thanks Bryan.....I was impressed at how easy it was to do on the stick. I hate cleanin pans so it works nicely.

Thanks Scott. Im glad you liked em, and thanks for the compliment. Im also happy to put it to your blade. It handles everything I do with ease. Not a complaint about it in any way. Its exactly what I wanted, and looks better and better with use.

Thanks for sharing!

What are the dimensions of the blade? 5" long, 1/4" thick and 1 3/4" wide?

Hey Junglas, Scott has the standard listing as 3/16" and 1.5" wide...I love wide thin blades and Scott's Tusker just sings to me! That guard that Jake has is really a great looking addition.

ROCK6

Yeah, Im a sucker for 3/16ths for a woods blade. My 1/8 Laconico feels like a fillet knife in comparasion. 3/16 of A2 is hard to beat IMO. Ive always had good luck with A2.. I can keep it sharp, and its incredibly tough. The Tusker paired up with my UNK is a wonderfull combo. Throw in my 19in Wett, and im good to go for anything.

I got to compare my Tusker side by side with a BK2 at the hardwoods meet. I was thinking they would be pretty close, but I was wrong. That 1/4 in thickness is definatly noticeable, and the Tusker had a lot better ballance. Not that the BK2 is a bad knife, its a great blade IMO. I was worried about not liking a guard on the knife, but Ive really come to like it. It blends very well into the handle, and it provides a really secure grip. Looks pretty badass too. Ive beat the hell out of this blade since Ive got it. Im very pleased with it.

I have a Tom Brown Tracker inbound to me for some leatherwork, and im curious how they compare size wise.....
