Great stuff man. I'm getting myself back into friction fire too, haven't practiced in a long time.
 
Right you are J, that stuff goes up fast. I always add in bit of dried grass or birch bark.
Then it is down right nice to use lol. Same with cattail, throw in some dried grass or birch bark and it make cattail good to go too.

No birch bark in my neck of the woods .....Iz Turley taught me a trick using the thorns from a Honey Locust tree as an extender for the milkweed fluff. The thorns wont take a spark of course, but they burn nice. Works good. Dry grass works well too.
