I've been eyeing one of those hammocks for solo backpacking trips, but I have yet to go on one.

The glow-in-the-dark whistle...what kind/where did you get it? Is it completely flat? Thanks.

Dude you would like it. Nice piece of gear. They even make a UL side zip expedition thats alot lighter.

Not completly flat, but its very thin. Its an Acme Tornado 636. Honestly, I cant recall where I got it. I had a few in one of the boxes of kit in my garage. You can get em online somewhere Im sure. Super loud, and glows nicely at night.....
 
Unlubed condom as a water container. Holds quite a bit of water. You can put it in your sock as a carrier. :thumbup:

As far as the dildo, I dont know what you carry in your PSK, but....:barf:

Thanks ROCK...Yeah originally I had planned on fishing before I relaxed in the Hammock, but once I sat in it, I couldnt move!! lol. It was much deserved.

Yeah its a great area. The spot I went to out there this time is up further north then we went, across the river.

Yeah, I finally just decided to use my grinder. :D Took a bit of courage but it came out nice.
 
Condoms can be filled up with alot of water if you have pressure to fill it up... But in the buch that is hard to come by. If you have a tap...fill up a glass.

I like it. Its nothing fancy, but Ive slayed the fish with it this year. Caught many bluegill, a few bass, and some good sized catfish with it. I broke the last section off the rod last time I was out, so its a bit shorter now, and not as responsive, but it still does the trick. I just scored a 5 piece takedown flyrod, and another telescoping rod/spinning reel set up, so I can use those now.

I find that I do most of my fishing when I am out in the woods bummin around. So for me, I get more use out of a setup like this then a regular rod/reel. Im excited to get the takedown flyrod, as flyfishing is a new forte of mine, and my 9ft rod is kinda hard to bushwhack with...lol

Dude, you would love that pack. Im sure it would fit you like a glove. Its a little short in the straps for me, and I didnt like where the waistbelt sat, but im a bit taller then you. I think it would be perfect for you. Well made, fairly light, and kinda trad looking compared to the molle packs.
 
great pics, how'd those MRE's taste, I'd like to see more pics of the snugpak, I'm lookin for one that size......

The MREs, well....They are ok. I dont mind em. I usually eat em cold, so they arent super or anything. Makes for somethin quick to grab if im wantin to get out and dont wanna mess with food prep. Overall I think they are good. Some menus are better then others. Stay away from the ham steaks, salsburry steaks, meatloafs, and egg ones. I stick to the chili, pastas, and occasional buffalo chicken.
