Just looking for good pics of handles/scales in well-polished buffalo horn. I have used it in a couple of ones I have made. Love the way it buffs up, and want to see some other examples.

gorgeous! our late father grew up in a farm, and he and his playmates loved to make fighting yoyo's from buffalo horn. he said they would smoothen it with fine sand, then with charcoal and a little oil, to give it a nice sheen. your picture reminded me of that.
 


The bottom one is a Buck Custom Shop in Buffalo horn and malachite.
 
Made by a local smith and modified by me. The fit/finish and geometry was lacking, but the materials were nice. Bought it before my revelation to Bladeforums. After some work on the handle profile and a rough regrind, it is very serviceable and looks pretty good too.
