Looks like a bastard child between Hinderer and DDR. I like it!

Ya know.... I'm surprising myself here by preferring the XM with just the G10.

The above pics look great , dont get me wrong but with the shmancyness there that sort of blows away the whole 'hard use' aspect of the knives and puts them into the realm of permanent safe queens , never to be used and thus fully appreciated.

My two cents. :)

Seems to me the price, XM-18s are going for, and the rarity of the knife blow away the "hard use" aspect more than anything else.

However, on the design of the second version of this knife I think I agree with this:
....... It almost looks like they are saying we can do bolsters, damascus, scrimshaw, bearings, anodizing etc. Let's put it all on one knife as a sample knife. Kind of like a stack of fabric swatches.

My view on the aesthetics of this piece.

2 Cents Worth.

I can agree with the rarity and thus very collectible factor but isnt the whol point of the high price is a very solid , 'working' tool ?

There has been a lot of discussion about this lately , sorry if I took the thread off track , at any rate those are some good lookin knives.

Thanks for sharing ! :)

O_O Do you have no honor, CM?!

:p To each is own! If you, or if you did that for someone, are willing to do that a knife of that cost, you'll certainly be willing to use it and that's always good to see. I imagine the famed Strider warranty is now void though :/

It's going to be a user. I'm kinda tempted to pick up another one and do the same but make it double edged.

i never understood the appeal of waving a knife unless you wear overalls or some crap all the time

#1. it destroys your pockets
#2. you're not a ninja nor in a quick draw knife throwing contest

I wear Dickies or Costco basic blue jeans 75% of the year. Haven't had any pocket issues yet :p
