I started work on my Endura Trainer this weekend if you are interested...

The pattern of the file work on that endura trainer is great! Thank you. I'm not familiar with folders, but I am with files. Time to beef a cheapy or two and build up my confidence for something nicer.

The hawk is a SOG Fusion. They're pretty cheap but come with a plastic handle. That aluminum handle looks pretty sick!

The handle is made of Titanium, and is pretty sick indeed!!!

Thanks A.L. Just look at it, it's one of my most used pieces of gear. I do everything with it. It's indestructible!!! The hawk head itself is awesome, it's a shame SOG couldn't get the handle squared away. I have heard the FRN upgrades are better than the original wood offerings but still have issues. I have plans to do an aluminum version one of these days...:thumbup:

Where do you get scales like the ones on the Mini grip? You mentioned something about Wilkins grips?

The only place that you can get Wilkins grips in the US is at Moore Cutlery http://www.knives.cx/store/index.php
I just got a pair and I LOVE them! I haven't like a knife this much in a long time. Go check em out. Their spendy but sooo worth it.

Love the Presidio! I love that knife, not such a fan of the AL scales.

That was my problem as well, the aluminum scales were just too harsh for me. This swap fixed that issue and it was super easy to do. The blade is a direct swap into the Bone Collector handle and then you can either use or sell the other hybrid half of the knife.
