Thank you for your kind words regarding Ridgies ...you are spot on with your observation about their nature too!

I've got a 7 year old RR myself. She is a princess. So spoiled that she cries if she lays on the couch and somebody doesn't put a blanket over her! She is also a relentless counter crawler.

This is my 5 year old Border Collie Rescue named Piper Jane, she's a runt, and only wieghs in at about 20lbs

It's a red Husky. I have a gray one too. They're great dogs if you like something hard headed as a cinder block. :)

Amen to that,I have had 2 or 3,independent,aloof,likes to dig, helacious prey instinct, especially cats, acts like they can't hear, especially you:rolleyes:,sheds like no tomorrow. But so damn lovable,a bad habit to pick up:DRegards Butch

Win, she is absolutely GORGEOUS! Now you go tell her I said so.... I'm a trained professional, I know gorgeous. I'll go see if I can dig up some pics of my Aussies...

Hmmm, can't seem to find my plethora of dog pics... let's see if some of Hank's baby pics show up. He is an Australian Shepherd. Hank is now 4+ yrs of age, he is a great dog, with three exceptions: 1. wuss for nail trims... but getting better. 2. Submissive pee-er... but getting better. 3. Table/counter surfer for food... I'm gonna kick his ass from here to Cleveland if I EVER catch him!

Did you know that there is no such breed as Australian Shepherd in Australia?

Just thought you'd like to know that bit of trivia. :)

I've heard they make great dogs though. :)

I just sat here reading your post laughing and nodding. Yes they are aloof as hell. I can call them and they'll just look at me. You can watch the wheels turning. If there's not something in it for them, you might just get ignored. My backyard looks like someone set off land mines in it. Every two weeks or so I have to get out there and redistribute dirt and mulch. All that but you just can't help but love them. Great dogs!!

I never pass up a chance to post of picture of my princesses (the dog is the furry one:))
