Pics of Knives You Hated Selling

Man, I love seeing the work of you mastercraftsmen here. Those knives are eye poppers!!! Outstanding. I'd have rather gotten rid of a kidney than any of those last 4.

Gonna have to be this one...15" of crazy hamon...I've never had a hamon look like this since....

Damn David. I haven't seen you around in a while. Nice piece.

Beautiful knives here! I haven't posted here in months and this seemed like a good topic to dust off my keyboard with...

This is the first knife I made with the intention of selling it (all others so far have been given away as gifts to friends.) Now that it's done, it sorta seems worth more to me than it might be to a buyer. I've tried explaining that one to my wife a few times, but she doesn't seem to understand what I mean and just tells me to sell it!

1/4" 5160, stainless bolsters, tapered tang, walnut scales, mosaic pins, etc.

PJ 234, I'd have trouble selling that one too. Its a stunner. Great work.

Chuck, that is an heirloom. What an artist you are!

David! Good to hear it. Got any peeks at your bench?

I really liked this one.

Thanks Ray. I can't imagine you remember me. I musta visited your table four times though. Your work really gets to me. I handed you the Osage handled Nessmuk in this pic. It was from this batch, which was my first.

Look at the big ole glue line you could see around the pin:

Man. Thank God I've come a little bit! Thats not pretty.

I remember some of those knives! You were carrying them in a Maxpedition Gearslinger of some sort, weren't you?

Troop. Nice work! I bet it was hard to let that one go.

Guyon, Sure was. I'm totaly suprised that folks remember so many details from the shows. They're like a haze to me. Maybe I enjoy the pit too much???

That's Beautiful. I have a real soft spot for drop points. Looks like a nice shieth too.

Thank you Tiiiiiiiiim, that's very nice of you to say! I am attached to it for some reason, but I know I need to let go (soon) and offer it up for sale for someone to use and enjoy.

You and I started at about the same time, Andy. Man, you have improved by leaps and bounds, my friend. You've dialed in a classic "Fiddleback" look for sure! Love the wood on that first one.

Here's one of mine that really hurt when I let it go....

You can add just about every knife that I've made to the list of ones I hated to sell, but these are at the top of the list.

These two-tone Hatchulas still hurt. I wish I had at least saved one for myself.

I couldn't ask for it to go to a better person, but selling this one hurt my heart.

Didn't sell this one, but I hated letting it go as a gift even more.

David,

That damascus dagger on your bench looks outstanding! Are you ready to post up pics of it yet?
