So here it is, in all its glory.

Steel is 1095, quenched in automatic tranny fluid. Handles are whitetail horn. I cut a little rope, sliced some tomatoes and whittled some basswood with it and it still shaves, so the heat treat went well enough. Its not exactly the customs that we might be used to seeing pics of on here, but all it all I thought it went pretty well for my first attempt. Enjoy.
 
Way to go! That's a great first knife. Hold onto it with all you have, it'll mean even more to you 20 years from now than it does today.

You did a great job with the profile and spacing the rivets in your handle. It's great to hear that your HT went well. Now keep it going, you have a very promising approach and I'm looking forward to seeing more of your work.
